Biography
The New School Social Justice Committee was a university-wide group formed by The New School’s Office of the Provost in the Spring of 2010. The group was composed of members of the faculty, administration, and student body formed to “help shape the university’s efforts to promote inclusion and fairness among many social identities, life experiences, intellectual approaches, and beliefs.” In 2020, The New School created an Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (EISJ), reporting to the president of The New School, within which the University Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Committee serves the function of the committee previously established under the Office of the Provost.
