Many also note the names of large French fashion labels that were clients of these businesses, such as Edward Molyneux, Marcel Rochas, and Elsa Schiaparelli. Many of these annotated cards also indicate that the businesses were recommended by Carven, probably referring to the French designer Carven (Madame Carven).
