The files are arranged chronologically by event year, and alphabetically within each event. Primarily consists of edited transcripts or summaries, in the form of press releases, of remarks made at New School events by faculty and guest lecturers. Events represented include commencement exercises, convocations, courses, conferences, luncheon meetings and lecture series. Many of these functions were sponsored by and for members of the New School Associates, a group who actively promoted and fund raised for the New School. A number of the releases here summarize event proceedings rather than present remarks of individual speakers.
