Scope and Contents

This series documents Zambonini’s work as a theater producer and director in the 1960s and early 1970s in Venice. His experimental theatre and dance company, the Teatro Romano, was influenced by Brechtian modernist theatre as well as the Happenings and Fluxus movements of the Sixties. Materials in this series include scripts, performance and production notes, and photographs as well as posters, flyers, and other promotional material for individual productions. Also of note are audio recordings of plays and performances in Italian.
