The Otis Art Institute of Los Angeles, California was founded in 1917. In November 1978, Otis merged with Parsons School of Design, which itself had become a division of the New School in 1970. In July 1991, Otis reorganized and again became an independent institution. For most of the duration of the Otis-Parsons affiliation, joint catalogs were issued. The catalogs in this sub-series are those that only list classes in Los Angeles.
