Scope and Contents

Parsons School of Design established an "Evening Division" in 1970 to accomodate the needs of professionals who wished to pursue further training in their fields and to serve the needs of students who did not wish to enroll in a full-time course of study. Classes were offered at the school's Greenwich Village campus, centered at 66 Fifth Avenue-2 West 13th Street, and in midtown Mahattan, primarily at the Parsons Fashion Education Center, located at 560 Seventh Avenue until its closure in 2013. Parsons began offering Associate's degrees in Applied Science (AAS) around 1975.
