Scope and Contents

Ullman is not featured in all catalogs. They may represent exhibitions he visited or exhibitions in which work of interest to him was exhibited. The first listings of Ullman exhibiting work are the William Clausen Galleries in New York and the Art Club of Philadelphia's 13th Annual Exhibition of Oil Paintings and Sculpture, both in 1901. Heavily represented catalogs include those of the Berliner Secession, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the National Academy of Design.

The catalogs are international in scope and arranged chronologically.
