Some of the items in this file were found in a folder titled, "Katznelson Affair." It is not clear whether this title was assigned by Diamond or by custodians of the files after they were transferred to the New School's Fogelman Social Sciences Library. The "affair" refers to a disagreement between Diamond and New School administration in 1983 that ultimately resulted in Diamond resigning his position as chair of Anthropology. Other items in the file relate to his role as editor of Dialectical Anthropology, tenure procedure, and Graduate Faculty governance.
