Scope and Contents

In the first of three segments, Lucille Khornak discusses her experiences in fashion photography, offers advice on addressing problems during a shoot, and relays various challenges associated with the profession. Khornak then presents a slideshow of images from her book, Fashion 2001, and discusses the editorial process. The workshop concludes with a question and answer session. In the second segment, Khornak continues to present slides and speak on her experiences with editorial work. A question and answer session follows the presentation. During the third segment, fashion photographer William Klein enters the room and Khornak tells a story about working with him. She continues to answer questions from participants.

Biographical / Historical

Lucille Khornak was born outside Buffalo, New York and began her career as a model. She later turned to photography, specializing in portraiture and fashion editorials. The author of numerous books, Khornak has photographed many celebrities, including Bill Clinton, Andy Warhol, and Karl Lagerfeld.
