Scope and Contents
In the first of four segments, Linda Mason discusses her career as a makeup artist, her thoughts on cosmetics, and the relationship between makeup and fashion photography. She demonstrates application techniques on live models. She plays a series of videos on fashion trends and presents a slideshow of "before and after" photographs. Mason discusses her work with Clinique and her experiences with prominent designers, photographers, and models. During a question and answer period, a participant asks Mason to apply makeup to one of the male participants, which she does. In the second segments, Mason discusses the meaning and standards of beauty and the purpose of makeup for men and women. The discussion continues in the third and fourth segments.

Biographical / Historical
Linda Mason is an American-based makeup artist. She began her career as a model and, after studying under Lancôme and Helena Rubinstein, began providing makeup artistry for runway shows. Mason has worked with many prominent designers, including Commes des Garçons, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and Issey Miyake, among others. She currently runs Linda Mason Elements, Inc.
