Scope and Contents
In the first of two segments, David Seidner gives a lecture on historical fashion photography and presents a slideshow of works by major photographers in the industry. In the second segment, the slideshow transitions into a showing of Seidner's work. He discusses his process both in fashion and fine art photography, as well as his influences.

Biographical / Historical
David Seidner, born in 1957, was an American-born photographer based in Paris. Known for his fashion editorial, commercial, and portrait photographs, Seidner worked with artists and designers including Yves Saint Laurent, Louise Bourgeois, Richard Serra, and Cindy Sherman. His photography appeared in a number of magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. Seidner’s work has been exhibited at Centre Pompidou and the Whitney Museum, amongst other institutions.
