Series 1. Books, 1996-2010

 Series

Scope and Contents

Books in this series consist of a variety of sizes and formats. Some are more traditional book projects, while others stretch the concept of what a book might be, such as a matchbook or coffee bag with interior pages. They are all multi-page documents with covers or containers for pages and some form of binding that connects the interior pages together. The function of these projects is to demonstrate the student's work as a graphic designer, not as an author or illustrator. Many of the texts are by other authors, illustrators and photographers or include found texts by well-known writers, reimagined in book format by the student designer. Many projects identify typeface, production procedures and techniques, and other design documentation.

Projects are arranged alphabetically by the student's name. When a student name could not be identified, the project is identified by title. These unattributed projects precede the projects identified by students' names.
