Migrated from DVD. This recording consists of excerpts from Parsons School of Design’s Rethinking Fashion Lecture Series from the mid- to late 2000s. Excerpts include fashion designer Mary Ping discussing her early career launch of the fashion brand Slow and Steady Wins the Race in 2002, fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn, of Loomstate, on the creation of an eco-friendly fashion label, Julie Gilhart, of Barney’s, describing that company’s green initiative, an introduction to a panel discussion with Ian Yolles, Mark Galbraith, and Peter Callan of the fashion brand Now, a discussion of corporate responsibility policies by Ian Yolles of Now, and a question from a Parsons student on environmental sustainability in fashion, with responses from Yolles and Mark Galbraith.
