A Salute to Congress was a concert held at the White House featuring performances by Frederic March, Hugh O’Brian, Mahalia Jackson, Robert Merrill, Sheila MacRae, Anita Bryant, Bitter End Singers, Serendipity Singers, Your Father’s Mustache, Ned Odum Boys, American Light Opera Company, U.S. Marine Corps Band, Nat Greenblatt, and Ferde Grofe.
