Scope and Contents

A report (sometimes informally referred to as the "Katznelson Report" after the chair of the Committee on Freedom of Expression, the political scientist and former New School professor Ira Katznelson) by a committee appointed by New School president Jonathan F. Fanton after protestors interrupted a public forum sponsored by the Seminar College at The New School (later, Eugene Lang College) in March 1985. The event included representatives from the U.S. Army War College, who had been invited to discuss military intervention in Latin America.
