Music score book, circa 1850
File — Box: 1, Folder: 2
Scope and Contents
A bound collection of printed and handwritten scores by multiple composers. The selections may be pieces from composers that Clark had met or that had some special significance for him, but this has not been confirmed. Includes printed copies of excerpts from famous operas such as Norma and Die Freischütz, as well as several handwritten manuscripts, some of whose titles and authors could not be discerned, and some copies of more obscure song literature by lesser known German composers. Composers identified include: Carl Maria Von Weber, Giacomo Meyerbeer, Carl Banck, Vincenzo Bellini, Conradin Kreutzer, Franz Abt, Felix Mendelssohn, Friedrich Foerster, Louis Schmidt, and Karl August Krebs.
