In this audio recording, Parsons School of Design alumnus and fashion designer Gordon Henderson discusses his project which he organizes as a lottery. Students write down a time and a place on a slip of paper, place the slips in a bowl, then draw at random. Whatever time and place is drawn, students must use as their inspiration. Henderson answers a student's question on whether they should design for a specific client. He suggests that the design should be internally motivated and urges the students to design for themselves. While the sound quality is clear, there is static and background noise throughout the recording.
