Includes correspondence to various university officials, design companies, and businesses to gather support and advice regarding the planning of a design conference as well as the creation of a new "Design Department" at Parsons.

Exhibition of jewelry by Salvador Dali from the collection of The Owen Cheatham Foundation. Admission proceeds from the exhibition benefited the Parsons Scholarship Fund. Additional documentation of this event will be found in the Parsons School of Design Alumni Association records and in the Alumni Association's magazine.

Exhibition at the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Parsons School of Design was among twelve art schools participating.

A retrospective of drawings by fashion illustrator Carl "Eric" Erickson. Proceeds from the sale of works benefited the Parsons Scholarship Fund. A group of Eric's illustrations will be found in the New School Archives and Special Collections (KA.0041).
