Pauline Trigère and Lucie Porges designed fabrics of Kodel polyester and cotton featuring three patterns: "Vine and Trellis," "Vine," and "Trellis." The patterns were available in four colors: white on Trigère Red, brown, black, or blue. This fabric (of which samples are included in one folder) links the contents of both folders in this entry.

Using the fabric, Trigère designed bedspreads, comforters, draperies, shams, and decorative pillows for N. Sumergrade & Sons. In 1980, using the same fabric, Porges designed an umbrella, oversized tote bag, insulated cooler and quilted beach mat. These beach accessories were sold at Lord & Taylor. The folders contain photographs, advertisements and clippings of these non-apparel designs.

Contents of this folder taken in entirety from a folder labeled, "Parsons." It is likely that these drawings, sketches and charts served as visual aids for Loebelsohn's classes taught at Parsons School of Design. Decade assigned based on fashion advertisements found within folder.

Scope and Contents Four documents (three typescripts, probably working drafts of speeches, and one handwritten draft, possibly also of a speech) found tucked inside the Grace Moore scrapbook and separated into their own folder. The drafts, all on the subject of design and designers, appear to date from the mid to late 1960s or 1970s, and do not date from the same time period as the materials in the Grace Moore scrapbook. "Designer's Responsibility" (6 pages) references "environmental design" (a term first used at Parsons School of Design in 1965) and the trend of American cars becoming smaller. An untitled manuscript quotes a 1973 reaction to the OPEC oil embargo, while the manuscript, "Color," identifies Diana Vreeland as the former editor of Vogue, which she left in 1971. A handwritten 19-page manuscript with the words, "The Public Look, the Private Look in Interior Design," at the top of the first page does not contain...
