No Longer in Exile: The Legacy and Future of Gender Studies at the New School was a two-day conference held in 2010 in celebration of the re-establishment of a gender studies program at The New School university. Faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate-level students and invited guest speakers discussed topics relevant to the discipline's past, present and future. This collection consists of the video files recorded during the conference.

The inscription on this audio cassette reads: 10/15/08 Parsons Photo Colin Stearns. Stearns is a faculty member in the Parsons School of Design Photography Department. The cassette has not been digitized and the content is unknown.

According to Crews in a text file furnished with the videos: "This is footage from the rally, speak-out and march that took place at the New School on Thursday April 16th to protest the actions of the NYPD and New School administration, as well as the continued police and administrative harassment through security administrators and undercover police of student protests. This is part X."

Crews supplied the following in a video text file along with the video files: "This is the Monday April 13 Emergency Assembly held to address the student occupation of 65 5th Ave. as well as the violent police response and approval of said violence by President Bob Kerrey and the New School senior administration. This entire assembly is broken up into about 12 parts. This is the second section of the video."
