The record label indicates that the recording is of a performance on soprano, alto, and tenor recorders of the Allegro movement of Handel's Concerto Grosso #1 and Pergolesi's Trio in G, performed by Joel Levy, David Levy, and Harold Comins. Possibly a holiday greeting distributed by David Levy, executive dean of Parsons School of Design, who was also an avid amateur musician.

Work by first year graphic design students at Parsons School of Design. A wrapper for this set of cards indicates that they are blot marks, "incidental forms on blotters that were simply picked up from the students' drawing boards during a calligraphy class and reproduced without changes." Archivists inferred the date by the institution's East 54th Street address on the wrapper.
