The New School was planning to organize a commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the United States Supreme Court decision, Brown vs. Board of Education, including inviting Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, who was appointed to The New School Board of Trustees the following year.

Szilard, founder of the Council for a Livable World, was invited to lecture at The New School. The folder primariliy contains articles by and about Szilard and letters addressed to him in response to the question, "Are We On the Road to War?"

Primarily concerning theater arts workshops, includes a proposal from the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center and Advisory Council for Children's Theatre for "A Research Center for Creative Drama Techniques."
