Scope and Contents This series consists of files representing Emil Antonucci's graphic design projects, as well as his work as a teacher. The files were migrated from hundreds of Antonucci's floppy disks and zip disks. They were created by Antonucci, primarily using Adobe Illustrator, and include a handful of font files that are required to render the designer's original intentions. Files are available to researchers as PDF files upon request. The PDF access copies of the Illustrator files usually render accurately; however, in some cases it might be necessary to use the original Illustrator files. Researchers are advised to view these files in conjunction with physical materials found elsewhere in this collection. According to the New School Course Description Archive, this course was taught in Fall 2012 by School of Jazz faculty Jane Ira Bloom. The course description reads: A performance/composition course exploring how to structure compositions and improvisations using melodic lines or horizontal motion. Participants in the class both compose and perform. Students learn to compose using their improvisational ability as their point of departure and are required to write and perform several compositional/improv assignments throughout the course.
