About the Work interview series
This collection contains a series of filmed interviews with prominent actors, directors, and writers discussing their creative process. The series was hosted by Professor Karen Ludwig of The New School's School of Drama in front of a live audience of students.
Activism at The New School oral history program
The Activism at The New School oral history program, initiated in 2019, documents touchstone moments of activism on The New School’s campus from the perspective of students, faculty, and staff who participated. As of April 2020, interviewees include activists in the anti-Vietnam War movement; the 1996-1997 Mobilization for Real Diversity, Democracy, and Economic Justice at The New School; and campus protests in the 2000s-2010s.
Conversations with Actors event recordings
Theater critic and biographer Martin Gottfriend organized and moderated the event series, “Conversations with Actors,” at The New School every semester from Summer 1991 through Spring 1994. Each session featured group interviews with well-known actors, especially New York City-based stage actors. The collection consists of audio recordings of the interviews.
