Dorothy Haon and Marion Haon papers
Dorothy Haon (1898-1995) attended the New York School of Fine and Applied Art (later, Parsons School of Design) in 1923-1924, and went on to careers in fashion design and merchandising. The collection, which spans the late 1930s through the 1950s, includes working sketches and notes, cloth patterns, fabric samples, and business records. Also included is work by Dorothy's sister, Marion Haon.

The New School Office of the University Librarian records hold reports, administrative documents, correspondence, project files, and memos. The records pertain to the oversight of The New School's libraries, which have undergone various name changes over time. Separate record groups document individual New School libraries: the Raymond E. Fogelman Library records (NS.08.01.01) and the Adam and Sophie Gimbel Design Library records (PC.08.01.01).
Parsons School of Design Adam and Sophie Gimbel Art and Design Library records
The records of the Adam and Sophie Gimbel Art and Design Library of Parsons School for Design consist of administrative files generated by library administrators and school executives. Topics include library collections, facilities, fundraising, statistical record-keeping, and the library's role in school accreditation. The bulk of the records dates from the period after Parsons School of Design's library relocated in 1972.
Parsons School of Design Alumni Association records
The Parsons School of Design Alumni Association was incorporated in 1952 and continued until Parsons School of Design merged into the New School for Social Research in 1970. Records contain correspondence, financial records, minutes, photographic materials, printed materials, scrapbooks of clippings and subject files. Also includes documents generated by earlier alumni associations that the Alumni Association incorporated into its working files.

This collection consists of records created and received by Parsons School of Design Presidents Sterling A. Callisen (president 1959-1963) and Francis A. Ruzicka (president 1963-1969), and records of the Parsons Academic Dean's Office and Business Manager from the 1950s-1960s. Contains correspondence, financial records, meeting minutes, and curriculum proposals. Some files are restricted. Please email archivist@newschool.edu for details.
