Scope Note: Artists who etch, by hand, metal plates to be used in creating etchings, which are prints made by an intaglio process in which the design is worked into an acid-resistant substance coating the metal printing plate, and the plate is then dipped in acid to form the design.

Abstract

Three impressions from an edition of 100 prints produced in 1974 from a zinc-plate etching created in 1933. The etching is divided into six small panels in which each of the artists etched a portrait of another member of the group.
