India China Institute event recordings
This collection represents video recordings of events sponsored by the India China Institute at The New School, established in 2004 with funding from the Starr Foundation. Recording formats in the collection consist of MiniDV and optical disc, documenting the first three years of the Institute's existence.
Joseph Kahn audiorecordings of conversations with media personalities
Consists of 166 audiocassette tapes recording conversations between retired investigative journalist Joseph Kahn and reporters, editors, and other media personalities invited to his courses at the New School for Social Research between 1979 and the early 1990s. Participants include Pete Hamill, Nick Pileggi, Gay Talese, and Murray Kempton, among many others. Frequent guests include Sidney Zion, Liz Smith, and Jack O'Brien.
Laura Auricchio faculty and administrative files
Laura Auricchio was an art history professor at The New School, 2002-2019, who also served in several administrator roles. This born-digital collection consists of course materials and administrative records from her tenure as a faculty member and administrator, primarily in the roles of chair of humanities for the Schools of Public Engagement and dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.
Mark Schmidt collection of Mobilization materials
Mark Schmidt is an alumnus of Eugene Lang College at The New School who took part in the Mobilization for Real Diversity, Democracy, and Economic Justice. The Mobilization was a campus movement during the 1996-1997 school year that protested the firing of Professor M. Jacqui Alexander, an Afro-Carribbean feminist scholar and Graduate Faculty member. This small collection of materials, assembled by Schmidt, includes photographs and a video.

New School accounting records
The New School accounting records consist of files from the Office of the Treasurer and other administrative offices documenting the finances of the university. These include construction files, financial statements from 1930-1959, and ledgers with receipts and accounts payable dating from the 1930s-1970s.

This collection consists solely of published, bound annual reports for the New School for Social Research, now The New School, issued by the university's Board of Trustees.
New School Architectural plans and drawings for 66 West Twelfth Street
Originally located in six renovated brownstones on West 21st Street in New York City, The New School for Social Research reopened in 1931 in a new building at 66 West Twelfth Street in Greenwich Village, designed by Joseph Urban (1872-1933). The collection consists of drawings of Urban's original building at 66 West Twelfth Street, drawings for the expanded campus in the 1950s, and plans of other renovations and expansions at the site.
