New School periodicals collection
Included in this record group are publications issued on a regular basis by The New School, and schools, divisions and offices of the university, including publications of Parsons School of Design and Mannes School of Music dating prior to their affiliation with The New School.
New School photograph collection
This collection primarily consists of photographs of New School students, faculty, administrators, buildings, class sessions, student life, and events. While the photographs span the period between 1933 and 1984, most of the photographs are concentrated between the 1940s and the 1970s.
New School press release collection
This collection contains press releases issued by The New School (formerly, the New School for Social Research) over a three-decade span. The press releases provide a detailed accounting of courses, events, faculty appointments, and the addition of new programs and divisions at the university, including announcements related to Parsons School of Design following its affiliation with The New School in 1970.

New School Raymond Fogelman Library records
This record group documents the activities of the staff of the Raymond Fogelman Library, The New School's library for social sciences and history prior to being incorporated into the The New School Libraries & Special Collections in the 2010s. The earliest files date from the late 1940s, with most covering the 1990s and early 2000s. Some files may be closed to protect employee privacy. Please consult with an archivist for further details.

This ongoing collection consists of objects and ephemera produced for The New School and Parsons School of Design. Items include mugs, t-shirts, tote bags, pens, and other objects.
New School School of Media Studies records
The School of Media Studies began as the Center for Understanding Media. Accredited through Antioch College, the program offered courses through the New School for Social Research. The New School formally absorbed Media Studies in 1975, after a four-year partnership. The records consist of curricula vitae, files, reports, syllabi, posters and other printed publicity materials, and student work.
New School Staff on Race event materials
This collection includes materials created by The New School staff affinity group Staff on Race for the event, "Staff on Race Presents: Race at The New School with Tim Wise and Thelma Armstrong," held on October 7, 2019 during the Festival of New, celebrating the university's centennial.
New School student activism collection
This collection consists of physical ephemera related to student protests on or around The New School's Greenwich Village, New York campus, including banners, posters, and fliers delivered to The New School Archives by university staff. Occupy Wall Street is represented, as is an iteration of the New School in Exile.
