Scope and Contents A four page, typewritten copy of the poem "Death in Harlem" by Langston Hughes. The poem signed by Hughes (based upon a comparison with examples of Hughes's autograph identified online). Margin notes in pencil are in two distinct handwritings--most are presumably by Enders, with one line change possibly by Hughes--the alterations to the poem were used in Enders's song version.
