Scope and Contents Arranged by country or city of origin: France, Germany, England, Italy, Berlin, London, Brunswick, the scrapbook contains photographs of opera singers and stage actors, including Emilio Naudin, Désirée Artôt, and Mary Anne Stirling; artists such as Gustave Doré and Rosa Bonheur; novelist Henri Murger; composers such as Joseph Joachim, Adolf von Henselt, and a missing space for a picture of Richard Wagner; and members of royalty such as King Victor Emanuel II of Italy, his sons Prince Umberto (later Umberto I of Italy) and Prince Amadeo (later Amadeo I of Spain), Alexandra, Princess of Wales (later Queen Alexandra of the United Kingdom) and Prince Friedrich Karl of Prussia.
