Elizabeth Aaron taught ear-training in the Techniques of Music department of Mannes College of Music (later, Mannes School of Music at The New School) from 1957 to 2017. The collection consists of administrative files relating to Aaron’s committee roles, Mannes board of trustee minutes, notebooks, recordings, photographs, and materials pertaining to the attempted merger of Mannes and Manhattan School of Music in 1978.

The Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science, often referred to in its early years as the University in Exile, was established in 1933. This collection consists of minutes from meetings from the time the Graduate Faculty was established through 1968.
Harry Gideonse records
Harry Gideonse served as chancellor of the New School for Social Research (now The New School) from 1966 to 1975. This collection contains administrative material from his time at the New School for Social Research, and from work with other organizations during this period, including Freedom House and City University of New York. Includes correspondence, financial and fundraising documents, curriculum and conference material.

John R. Everett records
John Everett (1918-1992) served as president of The New School from 1964-1982. This collection documents the activities of the president's office during his tenure, and includes some files from prior presidents. Also included is material from Everett's board service at other academic institutions, and manuscripts for speeches and articles he authored. Some files are restricted. Jonathan Bach Graduate Program in International Affairs records
This collection consists of records related to The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs (GPIA) from its application for certification in 2000 through the first eight years of its existence, as compiled by Jonathan Bach, faculty member and an associate director of the program during that period. The records consist of notes from faculty meetings, memos, committee reports, curriculum plans, and other material related to the program.
Jonathan F. Fanton papers
Jonathan F. Fanton (1943 - ) was the president of The New School from 1982 until 1999. This collection contains material documenting his career as a university and charitable foundation administrator at Yale University, the University of Chicago, The New School, Human Rights Watch, the MacArthur Foundation, Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and other organizations.
