Abstract

This collection contains student, faculty, and staff handbooks from The New School and various divisions and departments within the university. These guides cover student life, degree requirements, information about living in New York City, among other topics. Faculty handbooks offer teaching guidelines and regulations, while materials created for international students provide information on adapting to life in the United States.

Summary The School of Drama, the dramatic arts program of The New School's College of Performing Arts, grew out of an affiliation with the Actors Studio initiated in the 1990s. This record group primarily documents student performances in the form of publicity materials, such as posters, postcards, fliers, and other print formats advertising individual productions and seasons. Collection consists of digital files related to HIV and AIDS prevention and education, produced by the Wellness and Health Promotion unit of The New School's Student Health Services office. University students at a private, urban university were the target audience for the approximately twenty files, predominantly fliers, comprising the collection.
